“The land of thirst” is one of the descriptions Namibia has received over the years.
On this tour you will experience what seems like endless desert, rough and rugged areas, places that seem to be empty of all life.
But this is not the case at all. On the contrary, there is plenty of life in the desert.
“Namibia must see” is a 14-day expedition where you will experience some of the greatest highlights of Namibia.
The expedition takes you through some of the most beautiful and wildest scenery you can ever imagine. We travel through the Kalahari Desert, to the edge of “The skeleton coast”, the Kunene region with mountains and canyons, Etosha National Park with the world’s largest elephants and much more.
On the expedition we drive through a very varied desert landscape and you will experience an incredibly beautiful diversity.
We drive through dry rivers, heavy sand and rugged rocky terrain. In Swakopmond you have the opportunity to go on a tour where you really get to test your skills as an off-road expert.
This trip takes place deep inside Kalahari’s dunes, and maybe you even get the opportunity to try out “big daddy”, which is a really challenging sandbank.
However, we also have days when we don’t move from place to place, but stay and explore the area.
We visit the beautiful sandy desert at Sossusvlei, both on foot and by car.
Swakopmund carries a lot of its past as a German colony, and it is definitely a city worth exploring. Here you can also book various activities such as sand surfing, desert ATV driving or a sailing or fishing trip .
We also go to Kunune, known for its amazing rock formations, a lot of bushman paintings, the Welwitschia plant which can reach 1500 years old, and not least the desert elephants that live in this area.
Etosha National Park is world renowned for its rich wildlife, and here are some of the world’s largest elephants and a good stock of rhinos. We spend 3 full days here, so we have plenty of time to soak up the rich wildlife and all the beautiful scenery for us.
We must also experience the Okonjima Reserve at the foot of the Omboroko Mountains, known for its good population of cheetahs, leopards as well as for their conservation and release project of injured animals.
“It’s not a holiday. It’s an adventure! I can only recommend. Many experiences you will never forget. Must be tested at least once in your lifetime.”
If you think desert landscape is dull, I can guarantee a surprise. Namibia offers some of the most out-of-this-world scenery you will ever see.
On this expedition, you will get your visual taste buds saturated, but the unusual landscape and animal experiences will also allow you to ponder life. Both your own and as a whole.
Then I would ask you to book me a chat below. It is just as important to me as to you that we have talked before deciding. So we can get expectations and wishes matched.
On the expedition you are in the driver’s seat and I am your guide. We ride in our big 4-wheel drive with all camping equipment and a tent on the roof.
We prepare food over bonfires as we talk about the experiences of the day, enjoy the sunset and stare at the endless starry sky.
There will be some driving related challenges, but I’ll teach you the required tricks and techniques along the way.
You will have an unforgettable experience by being part of the amazing nature and rich wildlife. At the same time, you will feel completely free and more alive than ever, because it is so intense.
I look forward to showing you the Africa I cannot live without. And I’m sure you will have the same love for the area that I have. The magnificent scenery will certainly give you something that you will not find on other trips.
