Join an exciting mobile safari in Botswana, where you subsequently live in a village at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and experience the magnificent scenery at Kruger Park in South Africa.
You really get around on this tour and get some completely exclusive experiences that range widely.
The 3-in-1 mobile safari is a 15-day tour starting in Botswana. More precisely, in the town of Maun, located on the edge of the Okavango Delta.
From here we set out on a six-day safari experience through Moremi, Savuti and Chobe National Park and ends in Kasane, near the border with Zimbabwe. It’s world-class safari day after day.
You will also see the Victoria waterfall, which is a spectacular visual experience, and we stay in a local village, reserved for Richis Africa’s guests.
Finally, we visit Lowfelden in South Africa, where we experience nature and tranquility in the most beautiful surroundings.
With me and a local guide, you drive in an open safari car through beautiful savanna landscapes, vast wetlands and spectacular African jungle.
We visit Moremi, which is part of the Okavango Delta, and is an area with a truly unique wildlife. Savuti is known for its large flocks of lions and we end up in Chobe by the Chobe River. Here you can experience the world’s largest elephant population up close.
When we are on a mobile safari, we are followed by a separate car with camp manager, chef and handyman driving with everything needed for the camp.
Everything gets set up and peeled down every time we come to a new camp. All camps are exclusive and there are no other people nearby.
The tents are large (3.5 x 3.5) jungle tents complete with beds, duvets and pillows for a good night’s sleep.
At the back of the tent you have your own shower and toilet. In addition, a pavilion is set up to act as a dining room. Karen Blixen was the pioneer of this type of trip and you are guaranteed some amazing days and nights completely in her spirit.
When you lie in your tent after an eventful day and hear the lion call, you are just looking forward to the next day’s adventure.
Through many years of friendship with the local residents we have been given the opportunity to move out and live in a village in Zimbabwe. You will therefore experience quite authentically how they live today.
Of course, we also visit the Victoria Waterfall, and you can experience white water rafting on the Zambezi River if you fancy. Here you will get some of the best commercial rafting in the world.
In addition, we visit the local school and clinic, and on a walk around the village you get a good insight into life and daily life.
Lowfelden is located in the area east of Johannesburg and is home to the famous Kruger Park. We drive a convoy in our own cars from Johannesburg to Ekuthuleni.
On the way we spend an overnight stay in Dullstroom, located in the High Felden Mountains. It is a charming town located on the edge of the beautiful mountains we will explore the next day.
The whole area is part of the Blyde river canyon, the world’s third largest canyon.
At Ekuthuleni (meaning place of peace) you get your own private house, and here zebras, wildebeest, impalas, giraffes, monkeys and hippos are a natural part of everyday life.
Here is the time to enjoy yourself, and generally there is free play. There are a lot of amazing experiences in the area and I am of course available if good advice and guidance is needed.
The nearest town is Hoedspruit, 20 km away. It is a lovely town with good places to eat and plenty of shopping. Furthermore, the price level in South Africa is only half of average European prices.
Can definitely recommend a trip to Africa with Richi. With Richi as a guide you get a great experience with someone who loves and knows Africa and all the aspects of the local nature!!! You feel safe, relaxed and overwhelmed with fantastic sensory impressions and experiences that you do not get on other Africa trips (have tried more).
On this expedition you get a mix of some of the world’s best safaris, a very special interaction with the locals as well as adventures on your own in a safe setting.
I make my many years of experience available to you. So you can enjoy it when we are on safari, but to a great extent also when we interact with the locals in Zimbabwe and when it comes to experiences in Lowfelden.
You can see all the details in the itinerary HERE.
Before ordering a 3-in-1 mobile safari, let’s talk first. It is important so that we get attuned expectations and I listen to the wishes you have for the trip.
