3-in-1 mobile safari

Mobile safari in Botswana, Victoria fall and semi-guided self-drive tour in South Africa

Join us on an exciting mobile safari in Botswana, where you will subsequently live in a village by Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and experience the magnificent nature of the Kruger Park in South Africa.

You will travel far and wide on this tour and have some very exclusive experiences that range widely.

15-day combination trip in 3 countries

The 3-in-1 mobile safari is a 15-day trip starting in Botswana. More precisely in the town of Maun, which is located on the edge of the Okavango Delta.

From here we embark on a 6-day safari experience up through Moremi, Savuti and Chobe National Park, ending in Kasane close to the border with Zimbabwe. It’s world-class safari day after day.

You will also see Victoria Falls, a spectacular visual experience, and we will stay in a local village, reserved for Richis Africa guests.

Finally, we visit Lowfelden in South Africa, where we experience nature and tranquility in the most beautiful surroundings.

Highlights of the trip:

  • Moremi
  • Savuti
  • Chobe
  • Victoria Falls
  • Blyde canyon (3rd largest in the world)
  • Ekuthuleni/Lowfelden
What is a mobile safari all about?

Together with me and a local guide, we drive in an open safari vehicle through beautiful savannah landscapes, large wetlands and spectacular African jungle.

We visit Moremi, which is part of the Okavango delta, and is an area with a completely unique wildlife. Savuti is known for its large herds of lions, and we end in Chobe at the Chobe River. Here you can experience the world’s largest elephant population up close.

When we are on a mobile safari, we are followed by a separate car with a camp manager, cook and handyman, who drives with everything that needs to be used for the camp.

Everything is set up and taken down every time we get to a new camp. All camps are exclusive and there are no other people around.

The tents are large (3.5 x 3.5) igloo tents complete with beds, duvets and pillows, so you get a good night’s sleep.

At the back exit of the tent you have your own shower and toilet. In addition, a pavilion will be set up to act as a dining room. Karen Blixen pioneered this type of trip, and you are guaranteed some fantastic days and nights in her spirit.

When you lie in your tent after an eventful day and hear the lion calling, you just look forward to the next day’s adventure.

You get a completely exclusive experience

Through many years of friendship with the local inhabitants, we have been given the opportunity to come out and live in a village in Zimbabwe. You will therefore experience a completely traditional way of living today.

We will of course also visit the Victoria Falls, and you can go white water rafting on the Zambezi River if you feel like it. Here you get some of the best commercial rafting in the whole world.

In addition, we visit the local school and the local clinic, and on a walk around the village you get a good insight into life and everyday life.

The experiences are lined up and waiting for you

Lowfelden is located in the area east of Johannesburg and is, among other things, home to the famous Kruger park. We drive in convoy in our own cars from Johannesburg towards Ekuthuleni, which is next door to the Kruger park.

Along the way, we spend the night in Dullstroom, which is located up in the High Felden mountains. It is a charming town, situated on the edge of the beautiful mountains that we will explore the next day.

You can look forward to these vantage points:
  • Three Rondavels
  • God’s Window
  • The Pinnacle
  • Bourke’s Luck Potholes

The entire area is part of the Blyde river canyon, which is the world’s 3rd largest canyon.

At Ekuthuleni (meaning place of peace) you get your own private house, and here zebras, wildebeests, impalas, giraffes, monkeys and hippos are a natural part of everyday life.

Here there is time to enjoy yourself, and generally free play is allowed. There is a large quantity of fantastic experiences in the area, and I am of course available if you need good advice and guidance.

If you want, you can also experience:

  • Kruger Park
  • Jessica, the tame hippopotamus
  • Moholoholo (animal rescue center)
  • Boat trip on Blyde dam

The nearest town is Hoedspruit, which is approx. 20 km away. It is a lovely city with good places to eat and lots of shopping opportunities. Furthermore, the price level in South Africa is only approx. half of that in Denmark.

I can definitely recommend a trip to Africa with Richi. With Richi as a guide, you get a fantastic experience with someone who loves and knows Africa and nature/the bush from all its sides!!! That is you feel safe, relaxed and bombarded with fantastic sensory impressions and experiences that you don’t get on other Africa trips (have tried several).

Look forward to a very special 3-in-1 mobile safari

On this trip, you get a mix of some of the world’s best safari, a very special interaction with the local people and adventure on your own in a safe environment.

I make my many years of experience available to you. So you can benefit from it when we are on safari, but also to a great extent when we interact with the local people in Zimbabwe and when it comes to experiences in Lowfelden.

Important

Before you order a 3-in-1 mobile safari, we must have spoken together first. It is important so that we can agree on expectations, and I listen to the wishes you have for the trip.
